Suleka Perera began her career in Sri Lanka in 1999, training at the nationally renowned CG Academy. With a passion for working as an all-rounder with hair, makeup and skin care, she dedicated herself to her craft, leading her to win the award for Best Haircut at a National competition in Sri Lanka. After moving to the US, Suleka eventually launched HT Bridal & Salon, a premium, all-inclusive salon in Gaithersburg. Eventually, she became a partner of Symmetry Salon Studios, a chain of luxury studios, the Site Director of the Gaithersburg branch and a part of the company’s core educational team. In 2020, she expanded to open HT Salon in Kentlands, Gaithersburg.

 

Among her accomplishments, she had the opportunity to do congresswoman Marsha Blackburn's hair for the Larry King TV Show at the Capitol Hill Hair Show as well as Miss USA 2017 Kara McCullough's hair and makeup for the Capital Hair Show in 2019.

 

Suleka is detail-oriented and knowledgeable, with her 25+ years of experience evident in every piece of work that she puts forward. Understanding that no two people have the same hair or skin, Suleka and her team strive to help you find the perfect look that is uniquely yours.
